I haven't read a lot of thrillers or crime stories, seeing as my preferred genres are women's fiction and historicals, but it's fun to delve into something a bit different every now and then. The first chapter pulled me in pretty quickly and I got a good feel for the main character, but there was a bit more focus on guns rather than emotions, I suppose because most police in England aren't armed.
