I like books that challenge a genre and so far, this one doesn't seem to fit that bill. Rich dude dies and is killed with a symbol of being rich and affluent and it's up to our smart, spunky hero to figure out who the killer is and their motive. To a certain extent, this read like a 'Murder She Wrote' episode. There's nothing wrong with that mind you, but if you are looking for something with more edge, this is not going to be the book for you.
