Mad for Mad Maude
I’m generally more of a YA reader, but the synopsis drew me into this book and wanted to find out more!
Maude is definitely a woman I want to know, though I can’t tell if she’s a hero or anti-hero. Either way, her character is intriguing and I did want to learn more about her background. She is aware of her ability to become invisible and uses it to her advantage when she needs it.
I think the black and white cover with a hint of red is representative of this story. We may look posh or proper in the surface, but everyone has that pop of something unexpected underneath. I enjoyed the flow of writing style and felt it matched with the feeling of the story.
Like I said, I prefer YA but I’m glad I took a chance on this one.
