There is nothing better than reading about revenge. It certainly is better than going out and getting it. I believe books like this allow us to put ourselves in the shoes of the character and that in turn allows us to feel satisfaction so we let go of grudges. Reading The War of the Roses certainly saved my exhusband a lot of grief and torture because I could experience causing it through through the written word.
