Talk about grabbing you on page one and not letting go - Hitchcock has mastered the mix of high fashion, wealth and a common street crime. All your sympathy goes to Maud, the shooter, before you even know the rest of the characters. This was a long sample (5 chapters) of the book but in the end was way to short! I have to know how this turns out.
