I've loved watching the characters in the Witchlands grow and change but this book stole the show. So much happens. There are twists and turns. Characters I didn't really care about are now precious and I love them. Just.. so much happened. I don't know how to say anything without spoilers, really. Being the third book in a series, there's so much that depends on having read the previous books.

I will say this, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't read Sightwitch before Bloodwitch. I know a lot of people avoid novellas, but the book is amazing on its own and explains a lot of things that pop up in Bloodwitch. I think I'd have been pretty confused if I hadn't read it.

Susan Dennard has a way of building worlds and characters and relationships that draws you in. Without realizing it, you will find yourself reading one of her stories having a great time and *SMACK!* suddenly you care very much about these completely fictional characters. You find yourself worrying about them and hoping for the best. You worry about the war that threatens the kingdoms and the.. (UGH! no spoilers. no. spoilers.) you get the idea.

There's a reason this book is being so highly anticipated by so many. It is worth all the hype and more.
