Guys, this book, the third in the Witchlands series, was incredible. While a little slow at the beginning, it was worth it. Most of the reason it's slow is because the characters need to be in the right place for all the other crap to go down.

Characters: Wow, do these guys go THROUGH it this book. Aeduan and Iseult are still angsty. Merrik still super captured, and Safi still with the Iron Queen Vaness. They all have a ton of stuff happen to them and they are each shaped by their experiences. I adore them.

Plot: Again, a bit slow in the beginning but holy cow, the last half was go-go-go and now I officially need more.

Writing Style: Dennard has this way about her writing. I feel like I can see exactly what she's trying to show, especially for certain scenes. We get another scene similar to the dancing scene from book 1.

World Building: We get a few more tidbits about the world, about the Big Bad, and about the other Big Bad. Magic and where it comes from is teased a bit and we get more.

I ADORED this book and I am anxiously awaiting the next one.
