Could not get behind this series

I first saw Susan Dennard pop up on my radar about 2 years ago right around the time “Windwitch” was published. I wa son my way to an author festival and she was going to b there so I decided to make the risky decision to buy the books there after meeting her and get them signed. I loved hearing here speak and was excited to read the series. But I juts could not get behind it. The story telling was an odd combination of too slow yet so much was hapekning I had a hard time keeping track. However I found the characters to be lovable and the magic system to be creative and complex, which for me was part of the problem. I would recommend this book to someone who does not have a hard time keeping track of a storyline.
