Can it be February already?
I'm already a fan of this series, and have been eagerly anticipating Bloodwitch. Sometimes being excited about something means that it can be a disappointment. But this was not even close. Susan Dennard's Witchlands is a rich, vibrant place, with truly creative characters and world building. The protagonists are multilayered and interesting. Their internal conflicts and relationships are engaging and realistic.
What makes this series truly special is that Susan allows you to root for so many different characters. There are few outright villains. It's almost a choose-your-own-adventure style story in that way. Choose-your-favorite-protagonist. I can't wait to learn more about Aeduan's story and background, though Merik is my true fave.
