Witches to Rule the World

I haven't read the first two books in this series, and I wish I had, because I think it would round out characters that show depth and promise as part of an interesting story. It seems that there are intricate relationships that have been built and then broken and split up over a land that is clearly in turmoil and that not everyone from past novels has the good fortune to survive the troubles being faced. Definitely interesting!
