Susan must be magical to write beautiful stories like this

First the cover is absolutely stunning! I love having Aeduan on the cover and seeing a physical manifestation of the man that has been in my head for the last two books!! He is exactly as I would have pictured him, if not even more attractive! Now onto the actual book. Wow Susan Dennard seriously has a way with words! I absolutely love the way she seems to weave emotions into her words. It leaves me wanting so much more of her writing, these few chapters were the definition of teaser! I love that we get to see all our favorite main characters again and what they have been doing since we left them in Windwitch. I was so amazed with how much action we saw in these first 7 chapters and know there will be much more to come!! I cannot wait to see more of Aeduan, Isuelt, Safi and Merik in the full book (which I have of course already pre-ordered)! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the book where they all find each other again!
