Okay so I have so many feels I need to ventilate before writing this.
First : THE MOUTAIN BAT HAS A NAME. (Yep that's my first thought).
Second : I refuse to like Caden. I refuse. Why do you make me like him woman ?!
Also : up until now, I have hated Aeduan so much. I don't know why really, he is pretty badass. His coldness just left me with mixed feelings. Iseult I am totally in love with.
Post-1st 7 chapters me : I think I'll adopt him now, if that's ok. I absolutely love that Aeduan's story is much more than meets the eye. He is a very nuanced character, neither white or black but a shadowy grey and I cannot wait to see how Susan Dennard elaborates on that.
The plot developed in Windwitch and Sightwitch is slowly taking form and I'm racking my brain to piece all the ramifications together and that's just what I want from such a complex world. You can tell the ending of that series will blow us away. All characters have such complex personalities, I am amazed they can be put into words and somehow she does it and explores their deepest wounds with subtlety. It's so beautiful.
Also : Best slow burn EVER. I cannot wait for the Iseult-Aeduan arc to develop.
To conclude : Alright Dennard. I'm listening, give me that Aeduan redemption.
