I love how the introduction just grabs your attention. It's just so dramatic, and it sets up the rest of the story perfectly. Also, the detail put into describing Aeduan's surroundings is stunningly clear! I really admire how there's just the right amount of description: not too much that you get bored, not so little that you lose context. I can't wait to read the rest of the book and see how Merik, Safi, Iseult, and Aeduan's story progresses!
