With an intriguing world-building plus compelling situations and characters... "Bloodwitch" is definitely something to look forward to in 2019. I already have a feeling that this bloodwitch is going to be a favorite fictional character. For starters, the backstory gave me the vibe I usually get from one of my favorite characters in other YA novels. I feel that the main character can determine whether the reader will want to read the book (or not), and in this case it worked for me.
