The moon, magic, and serial killer - what more could you ask for!

The title and the cover are absolutely amazing and from the first few pages I could tell this is a book I definitely want to sit down with a cup of tea, rain in the background and never stop reading.

The writing style was beautifully descriptive. The author has a way of really bringing everything to life, without being overly flowery.

I instantly got hooked on Catrin, an orphan, who is anything but weak. The first sentence had me chuckling that she smashes the hands of the workers who touch without permission (but not breaking it on the first offense of course). She seemed to pretty headstrong and self reliant, which is a character I can get behind.

Catrin happens to be at the wrong place, at the wrong time and semi witnesses a murder of another woman. Throwing Catrin into the middle of it all.
