Catrina is an orphan girl employed by a master architect. She has unique skills that allow her to find flaws in a construction before they become a problem. But that might not be her only skill.

Working late one night under the moon's light she hears a scream and sets out to find the source. What she discovers is a brutally murdered woman with a slashed throat and the killer escaping the scene.
She soon finds her self involved in a dangerous investigation with a serial killer whom has only just begun his murder spree.

There are so many good things about this book. First, I love the cover. It is definitely eye catching and would be a reason for me to pick up this book for further investigation. Although, to be honest, not sure completely how it relates to the book. Second, the author's detail really lets me see what I'm reading. I felt like I was there watching everything instead of curled up on my couch with a coffee and a couple dogs. And last, I didn't not have the mystery figured out by the end. I was kept guessing and rethinking until the end.

My only complaint was the ending. Although it ended well I still feel like there was not enough justice served. But that is just this readers wish for all books to have an unrealistic 100% happy ending. I easily give this book 4 stars and will be moving her other books up on my tbr.
