I was super excited for this book because I loved this author's other books the traitor's circle series. Blood and Moonlight takes place in the city of Collis and follows our main character Cat. This book was enjoyable, and I normally like when books are multi-genre but it felt like it kept getting off track for this book. One second we have a sad angsty romance and then the next 50 pages are just about this strange moonshine ability that wasn't really developed before. Then there's also the whole criminal minds aspect. I liked it but the final twist did not impress me much. The moon abilities were really fascinating and I'm looking forward to learning more about that. I also liked the overall romance between her and the detective. I wish we'd gotten to know more about Remi. This book also had a beautiful cover. I'd recommend if you want a fantasy Jack the Ripper.
