Blood and Moonlight by Erin Beaty

Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25/5

First off I love the cover of this book! I know you shouldn’t judge a book off it’s cover but I for sure did and it was amazing!

It took me a little while to get into the book. There were different terms that you had to get used to with different places. After I got used to that then I just couldn’t put the book down. I think one rating that would have helped was if there was a map of the area. I just feel like maps help me a lot when I read.

This book is YA mystery/thriller fantasy. You have a little bit of everything in this book. You have a serial killer on the loose, magic and a sweet romance that take place in a pretty unique city. I loved the mystery side of the story. It kept you guessing and once you thought you had it figured out there was another twist, right up till the end of the book.

I loved Catrin and Simon working together to solve the case while also seeing their relationship grow. This book never lost my attention and I didn’t want to put it down. The ending of the book was bitter-sweet but it is left open to where there can be a second book. So I look forward to that! Overall this book was so interesting and you should add it to your TBR.

This book touches on topics of mental illness. Also since there is a serial killer there is plenty of death described in the book. So just check the TW.
