From the beginning, I liked the new world and job that our main character has, which isn't something I've ever read before. I'm excited to know more about her powers and abilities. The cover was also very enticing and lovely.
On the other hand, I kind of wanted the second chapter and the first chapter to swap. If I had to judge this book off of the first chapter, I may have put it down since the worldbuilding was thrown in at the very beginning. But after that, it was much better.
