Reminds me of Pillars of the Earth but with murder
Based on the cover, I was expecting something more along the lines of high fantasy with fae and whatnot.
As I was reading the first impression, it reminded me a lot of the Pillars of the Earth series by Ken Follett. However, as the opening continues with the murder and the main character's fall, I was drawn into this new world under the moonlight. The whispers that Catrin hears makes me want to continue reading because I'm curious who said something to her.
I'm also very curious about the Selenae, and what they represent in this world.
