Not something I would usually read but I'm intrigued

I love the cover and the title, they are beautiful a caught my eye. Regarding my first impressions 1st person narratives usually are not for me but I loved how descriptive the writing was and the atmosphere it created so I am defiantly intrigued! However while I liked the style the opening didn't grip me personally. This could be because I've been moving away from YA a little and a bigger fan of the genre would probably love it.
