You had me in the synopsis with magic and serial killers. As an English teacher, I read a lot of books and fantasy and murder mysteries are my go-to favorites. In the First Look, the opening sentence is catchy- "I'm waiting for the moon." It's beautiful and immediately sets up both a setting and a character I want to know more about.
