The cover of this book is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, props to the cover designer and artist as it is fantastic.
Title is also great.
The actual meats of the book is good. The beginnings of books can be rough, since the world building needs to first. In addition to the first person POV and the writing being in present tense, it can be a bit tough to get though. The POV and tense make it so that a large part of the excerpt is just Catrin describing things in excruciating detail (in addition to the exposition).
However, I thought this was a good start to an intriguing book.
