This started out as a great, original sci fi novel. I loved the idea of the sword maker being able to craft swords with powers of their liking. As always something like this can have repercussion. So our main character and her sister have to go on the run to keep said sword out of the hands of a person who just wants to essentially take over the world. Halfway through the book though it turns into a romance novel. It's cute with a lot of banter but the main character is quite dense when it comes to knowing that said guy is into her. Once this book turned romantic it kind of lost me. We spend the middle of the book with the characters in the woods just simply flirting. It was quite boring in my opinion when I was hoping for a scifi novel and midway receive a romance. I did end up DNF(ing) the book as I just simply couldn't get back into it. I felt if the author had stuck with sci-fi, added just a dash of romance it would've worked but she lost me :/
