I have other books by Tricia Levenseller that I have yet to read, but after reading this I can't wait to dive into her other writing! The writing style was great and everything flowed perfectly. The pacing was good and the dialogue was realistic. I really like Ziva and Temra, but relate to Ziva on a personal level. It's nice to see a character with the same traits as you (even if that happens to be anxiety). I felt seen and understood and I almost got emotional over it. The descriptions of the setting and characters were detailed, but not to the point of being overly so where they just become boring. I also like that the author goes into some detail about forging as the average reader isn't going to know much about it. I like getting an insight and learning something new. The first chapter was extremely interesting and intriguing overall. I think this was a great set up for the plot and the rest of the story. I can't wait to see how everything unfolds!
