I was a fan of Tricia Levenseller's previous books and I was not disappointed in her lastest book! Blade of Secrets was a fun and fast paced adventure story! There was never a point that dragged which was a nice surprise! The book didn't feel too long, or too rushed, and I am so excited to read the second half of this duology! I think this had good anxiety representation. I could feel Ziva's anxiety through the pages and I think for some people it could be a little stressful. I loved the relationship between Ziva and Cherry. I was not expecting their relationship to be so deep and well developed! There is a slow burn romance that's sort of an enemies to lovers relationship. It was fun, and didn't take away from the rest of the story, or pull too much focus. I would recommend this book to a newer fantasy reader, or someone who is in a reading slump and just needs something quick and fun.
