I was lucky enough to have won this paperback copy from BookishFirst! I've only read 1 other book by Tricia Levenseller before this and absolutely loved it. When I saw this giveaway, I put my name down so fast! Anyway, if I could give this book 6 stars I would. I will always keep coming back to YA and stories like these are exactly why. The main focus of this plot isn't the romance, it's the FMC being thrust into reluctantly saving the world. Ziva is one of the most relatable heroines I've read for those of us who have anxiety and who don't people very well. The most unlikely heroine you could think of runs away from her comfort zone in order to try and save the world. That alone sucked me in. Add the 3 characters that go on this journey with her and you've got a page-turner. The slow burn and new experience of this romance are beautifully done. I can't wait for the next one!
