I love that the book has a map, that always helps me understand the world better!
Great imagery, I don’t know anything about blacksmithing but the way it was described made it easy to imagine the scene! I was really intrigued to learn that Ziva can imbue her weapons with magic. I like that the first chapter shows how strong female characters Ziva and Temra are. And it really helps to see how much Ziva cares for her sister.
I can relate to the main character a lot so far. I suffer from really bad anxiety and social situations make it worse. Seeing Ziva deal with a rude customer and her anxiety getting so bad she imbues a weapon with her panic was interesting. Not many authors write characters with anxiety and it’s nice to read.
I really want to know more about the magic that Ziva possesses. I feel like this guy Petrik will show up again and I wonder how he factors into the story.
So far after the 2 chapters I am sucked in and am wanting more!
