Tricia Levenseller does it again! With another great YA fantasy.
Like most of her other books, I was drawn in right away with this book. I love the concept of magic weapons made by an amazing character. I also like the representation of anxiety in the book. I haven’t read a lot of books with anxiety in them, especially fantasy ones. I like reading about Ziva kind of overcoming this a bit to save herself and her sister. I also enjoyed how ziva and her sister her almost complete opposites. I loved Temras feisty and sassy attitude.
The unlikely friendship that blossomed between the sisters and two others was great too. I thought only one other joined them on the escape but adding another to dynamic was awesome. I loved reading all of their banter between them all.
This was a fairly quick paced book full of action and adventure.
I finished this one so fast, I can’t wait for the second!
