Tricia Levenseller has become one of my favorite authors. She has such a talent for writing great adventure stories with great fighting scenes. Her stories always feature a badass main character and Blade of Secrets has such a cool main character. I love how she uses her magic to instill gifts and powers into the weapons that she herself welds in the blacksmiths shop. It is such a unique gift that I hadn't read about before in a story. I also love how much of a focus there was on the sibling relationship between Ziva and her sister. I love when a fantasy novel features sibling love and issues. It makes it so much more realistic to me even though the story is filled with magic. I loved the plot of this and the political intrigue that was involved in this story. It was overall a great story with fantastic characters. I loved the world and I can't wait to read the sequel.
