Blades of Secrets is the latest book by the author of bestselling books like Daughter of the Pirate King. I loved reading this, it was thrilling and unlike her previous books.
The female protagonist was my favourite feature of this book because she wasn't like the other female young adult protagonists I've read. She was introverted and keeps to herself and there's very little romance in this which was very refreshing.
I can't wait for the sequel for Blades of Secrets and I can't wait to see what the author does. I hope we continue to see the sisterly bond which was also very nice and unique to see in a book compared to the usual booktropes.
Compared to Daughter of the Pirate King, which was more young adult and aimed at the young at heart; Blades of Secrets was for those who shyed away and love their alone time. 100% recommend!
