I LOVED Blade of Secrets so much! I was immediately drawn in by this unique type of magic. I truly loved the idea of a magical blacksmith! This was the first book I've read by Tricia Levenseller and I will be reading more of her books in the future. I could not put Blade of Secrets down. I read it in like two sittings and immediately wanted to start the second book when I finished it.

The unlikely group consisting of a blacksmith with major social anxiety, her flirty sister, a mercenary(who is only there for the gold), and a scholar set out on a quest to keep a magical weapon out of the hands of someone who seeks to use it only for destruction.

Blade of Secrets was a great YA read. I loved the magic and the journey the four rag-tag group of heros go on. The cover is what first caught my eye but once I started reading I could not put this book down. I almost forgot the banter! I loved the banter and bickering between the main characters. *chef's kiss*
