Overall I thought this was a really fun Young Adult fantasy novel with a fresh concept. Ziva and her sister Temra had a really fun sister dynamic with strong opposite personalities that helped balance each other out. Ziva's representation of anxiety was a welcome addition as I think a lot of people these days need and want to see that in a character! My only complaint with this is that in the beginning it's a lot more of telling rather than showing on Ziva's anxiety, which I'm never a fan of. I knocked a star for it.
Petrik and Kellyn were so funny, I loved their arguments and banter between each other. It kept some humor injected into the book throughout. Kellyn was very sarcastic, yet also so adaptive to what Ziva needed. He would always try to make her comfortable or to help her though her anxiety in difficult situations. A truly adorable YA romance!
