I'm usually somewhat wary of fantasy books because I always worry that they will delve way too deep into descriptions and lore. I'm not too worried about that here. Even when it does delve into details it's fairly light and I find myself actually interested. That might not hold true throughout the entire book, but it does for now.
I really enjoyed the author's descriptions of things. It was good and really helped me visualize (at least as much as I can) what was happening.
Also, the characters honestly seem like a lot of fun and I'm more than willing to join them on an adventure.
