This book has some elements that seem to promise a good book. There is a fantasy society that likes weapons made for war, two teenaged sisters who seem to be orphans, and the obligatory magic. In this case, however, the magic seems to come from Ziva, the shy older sister who seems to lack all social skills but has astounding blacksmith skills. There’s always the possibility that in future chapters the book becomes more of a thriller, but the limited preview pages did not pull me in.
