What I like about this straight away is the main character has a flaw that impacts her everyday interactions. She's great at her job but relies on her sister to interact with her sister. I find it very interesting how she imbues the weapons with magic and how the confrontation with the man at the forge affected the one weapon. I would be just like Ziva and cautious about Petrik. At the end of the chapter, you can see how Temra wants to go out on her own but Ziva does not understand the clues in what Temra says. I find Ziva relatable.
