I enjoyed this first look into this fantasy YA story. The heroine is really interesting and the worldbuilding is strong. While I get the meaning of the cover a bit more now knowing the significance of swords and blacksmithing to the story, I didn’t find it that eye-grabbing or memorable initially. It looks like a general YA fantasy cover to me.
