Just finished an arc of this book and I can’t wait for everyone to read it in October! It gave off very similar vibes to House of Hollow and I loved the atmosphere! There were a few points were the time/place of the mc shifted in a way that wasn’t exactly cohesive (plus a couple of grammar errors), but I assume these will probably be corrected before the final printing. The plot revelations did seem to happen fast, but overall the cast of characters was awesome and so fun to read. The entire family is great (and characters outside of the family). As a southerner, it was honestly very nice to read a story like this taking place in the south. Ever time the humidity was mentioned I was like, “Mhmm yes, can confirm that is a soup outside.” This was such a fun read and it’s going to be perfect for spooky season this October. I’ll probably reread the finished copy when it comes out too.
