LOVE LOVE LOVE

Bittersweet In The Hollow is a book that I truly found this a beautifully spooky, autumn vibe read, with a great deal of emotion, suspense, and small town mystery. It also had enough cryptozoological trivia to keep my cryptid love happy. I am actually surprised to see that this was mentioned as a debut, as it had incredible depth to it's story and world.
This book has a lot of prose, but I found it beautifully fulfilling in a world with character that were not so 'usual.' This has a lot of cozy elements, which (with no spoilers) can be in direct contrast to the horror elements of the story. But it also serves up a lot of mystery and dark thrills. It also has some elements of romance.
The pacing at times can be a drag, or distracting, it will go from outright distrust between the MC and her crush to them all of a sudden working together. But I found that it was usually solid.
