Personally speaking i find that the book was interesting, it was cool in the terms of the magic as well as the horror aspect however it wasn't the best book, as i find that there are many things that this author can build upon. However there were great aspects to the book as-well such as the reference to dark folk and the Appalachian mountains being the main setting of the book, overall it was a good read, not too much wrong with it but it all comes down to personal preference as i wasn't too engaged with the writing style of the book so personally id say this is more of a teen reader book rather than a young adult. Overall the plot was ok, and the character development was too, its not all too memorable however contrary to other books its not a regret that i have read this. I suggest reading into the book to see if its more what you are interested in or not as i find this to be a very hit or miss book.
