Very beautifully written yet slightly creepy horror.

This book introduces us to the James family who each have special gifts of the most people don’t have and most fear. In addition to this they are skilled at making home remedies to cure common illnesses. Though the people of Caball Hollow use their skills they also fear and shun them. Every year on summer solstice the people of the hollow celebrate The Moth Festival which honors the moth-winged man whose appearance can mean either great fortune or misfortune. We meet Linden James who the year before got lost in The National Forest while trying to lure the moth-winged man she returns with no memory of the time she was missing. But the National Forest has claimed others who were not so lucky and during this scorching summer it happens again.Is the moth - winged man to blame or is there something else at play. Beautifully descriptive it draws the reader in.Can’t wait to read what happens next.
