The storytelling is vivid with sensory-inducing details that drew me in deeply--and made me want to eat fried green tomatoes! I want to learn more about these four sisters and their subtle magical abilities. I love how Linden can taste the various emotions of those around her, adding both insight and mystery to the relationships and interactions around her. The flashback was a delicious tease that made me want to keep reading. The legend of the Moth-Winged Man and Linden's mysterious disappearance the year before hooked me into this tale!
