The book cover is lovely and reminded me of several other books that I have picked up and enjoyed.
The sample of the text is very intriguing, with a great feel of rural Appalachia (my own community). I particularly enjoyed that the main character and storyline have many similarities to a darker version of Sarah Addison Allen.
