What initially attracted me to the book was the cover. It's really kind of eerie-looking but eye-catching. I liked that the family is full of women, powerful, magical women, who run a restaurant together. Appalachian stories are always interesting, they feel so antiquated and out of touch with the real world. I'm excited to solve this mystery!
