The first few pages definitely give me Practical Magic/Charmed vibes! The further I read into the story the more I was hooked. The first chapter is lush with atmosphere and intensity. With such great structure and moving words. "Maybe our bodies hold memories, too, written in the bone, woven between sinew, hidden beneath the skin." I can't wait to devour this book.
