An engrossing read involving an impossible choice - keep your child with you and risk their life during WWII or sending them across an ocean to unknow people to keep them safe. Beyond That, the Sea, examines the fallout of protecting one's child as life continues on both sides of the Ocean.
Millie and Reginald send their only child from London to America and it forever changes their lives as a couple and who they are as individuals. Bea, their 11 year old daughter, will also change as a result of this drastic move. The Gregorys from America take Bea into their home and family where Bea develops strong bonds. One year turns into many, life goes on, changes happen, and Bea finally heads back home to London. But nothing will ever be the same.
This will appeal to all the Historical Fiction and Historical Romance readers out there.
