This book grabbed me from the beginning. I was really invested in the characters and they, along with the story, really pulled me in. I really wanted to know what was going to happen to all of them and kept pages turning in the night. I thought the author did a wonderful job because I could very easily envision everything this wrote about.

However, as the book went along, I found myself wondering what made Bea so wonderful and, without giving anything away, so irresistible. In some ways, because she went back to England, these feelings seemed to border on obsession.

I wish the book would have stayed more in the period of when Bea was in America as a young girl. That being said, I am kind of glad we saw more into the later years, but I thought the book was going to be more centered on the time she was actually with the Gregory family. What I walked away with was a feeling of life goes on and it does. I don't mean to sound critical, because I really enjoyed spending time with these characters! Thank you to the publisher and to Bookish First!
