Ah, WWII, the fiction topic that keeps on giving. Cue the tears. This novel stands out from others by focusing on a British family who sent their child away to safety in America, and how this impacted their relationships during and after the war. The beginning feels pretty episodic with the narrative, so it's moving quickly, but I hope the middle will settle into a more connected style.
