From reading the excerpt I immediately said oh not another WWII historical fiction novel. But then I started reading the excerpt. And it pulled me in. More WWII adjacent, more growing up during the war and less being in the trenches, it’s refreshing. I like how the parts of the book are set up by the time periods. I can’t wait to read more!
