I like the idea of the story. The idea that parents had to choose to send their children away to protect them has always interested me. The whole idea is so full of emotion to begin with. I like the different perspectives that you get in each chapter so you can see several angles to the same situation. I feel for Beatrix and her parents and am interested to see how they, and the host family deal with a this very difficult situation.
